Royal Enfields return to the Sriperumbudur Track

It’s another chance to get your bikes on the track. The full version of the MMST at Sriperumbudur. And it couldn’t get cheaper and simpler than this only, civil D/L, insurance and riding gear. No entry fee, no prize money. Mementos to all, bigger ones for the first three.

We need to get indemnity from riders and insurance must be in place, Club arranges Personal Group Accident Cover and collects 100/= per head. This can be extended to R E Riders if so desired. Entry forms need to be filled up and returned.

That means the participation fees works out to only Rs.100. The only documentation needed is the entry form insurance form and indemnity bond. Bike needs to have valid registration and insurance and rider needs to have a civil driving license.

We have kept the practice in the evening so that we can watch the other bikers in the morning and/or it will enable out of town candidates to ride into town on Saturday itself.

Dates – 2-3rd/Sep/06

Classification will be on the basis of cc. The current plan is that the 350s and the 500 and above bikes will run concurrently – meaning at the same time but the first three positions will be counted separately meaning that if a person on a 350 finishes in 5th place but all the bikes above him are 500s he will be declared the first on the 350cc class. Now if a person on a 350 comes first or second or third overall and the first 500 is at a lower overall position then what happens – will confirm later.

Technical modifications allowed
since this in not a championship event the technical scrutiny will not be too strict and apart from changing the bore and stroke and cc you can do most things including carburetor air filter silencer compression cams, rockers, weight reduction, gearbox basically its open house.
